Rules, Terms, & Conditions

Please note, that you must agree to all the rules, terms, and conditions that are outlined below to book an event with Grounding Picnics. Once all rules, terms, and conditions are accepted you are bound to this agreement as a customer of Grounding Picnics. If you have any further questions please contact Grounding Picnics. Thank you for your accommodation.

 

Booking Information

We recommend booking your picnic a week in advance to ensure your preferred date and time are available, though we do accept bookings with shorter notice, we cannot guarantee all dates and times will be available. If you are thinking of adding food to your picnic event through the recommendation of Grounding Picnics, please be aware that your picnic, along with the food order will need to be placed at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled picnic. Weekend timeslots will be available starting at 10 am and ending at 7 pm.

 

If you choose a public location for your picnic event, please understand you are subject to be approached.

Grounding Picnics is not liable for any actions of our customers. You are responsible for checking and also familiarize yourself with all local, state, and federal regulations in the state of Nebraska.

 

Payments

Grounding Picnics accepts payment through Zelle under the booking tab on our website. Picnics will be paid in full at the time of booking.

 

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

Grounding Picnics does not offer refunds after booking an event; however, we do offer postponements. To reschedule, you must contact us 24 hours in advance before your scheduled picnic. Customers will then need to reschedule their existing picnic event within 30 days or your payment will be forfeit.

 

If the customer is running more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled start time, their picnic will be considered a no-show. The picnic will be canceled with no refund issued. Thank you for respecting our time. Please plan accordingly for traffic and commute.

 

Please note, that once your picnic event is set up on the day and scheduled time of your event, we cannot cancel or reschedule. No refunds will be issued.

 

 

Weather Terms

Grounding Picnics understands the weather can be unpredictable. This is an outside event, weather permitting. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued in the event of inclement weather. Please check the forecast and reach out to us 24 hours before your scheduled booking if you wish to proceed with the picnic, or we can further discuss other options you may have:

1. Move your picnic indoors (mileage fees apply)

2. Reschedule (within 30 days of booking)

 

 

Alcohol Policy

Grounding Picnics does not serve or offer alcoholic beverages at picnic events. If customers choose to drink alcohol at their event, Grounding Picnics is not liable for any actions of our customers. Customers are fully responsible for checking and familiarizing themselves with local, state, and federal regulations when it comes to consuming alcohol at your public picnic event.

 

Social Media Policy

Many if not all our picnic events will be photographed and shared on our social media pages. Grounding Picnics has the right to all photos taken at the booking for advertising purposes.

Electronic Communication

By engaging in electronic communications with Grounding Picnics, including but not limited to sending emails to GroundingPicnics@gmail.com, or any website interaction at GroundingPicnics.com, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

You consent to receive electronic communications from Grounding Picnics, which may include notices, updates, and other communications. These communications may be sent to the email you provide or through other electronic means corresponding with your interaction with the company.

 

Damages

In the event of any damages to Grounding Picnics property that occurs during your event are subject to damage fees. Damage fees vary based on severity and item(s) damage.

Missing inventory is subject to fees based on the item(s).

When booking with Grounding Picnics you and all invitees acknowledge and agree to be held liable for all costs associated with engagements of damage, neglect, and recklessness.

 

Smoking is not allowed at or near any picnic event.

 

Refrain from lighting any candles found at your picnic event, for this is a fire hazard.

 

Duration

Customers are responsible for staying with their picnic at all times through the length of their scheduled event. Please contact Grounding Picnics if for any reason you must leave before the end of your picnic.

Once the picnic event comes to an end, Grounding Picnics will return to clean up and take down the setup.

If you are interested in extending your time during your picnic event please contact Grounding Picnics. Fees will apply for additional time extensions pending availability.

 

Liability Release

It is important to note that participants should carefully read and consider the implications of this waiver before agreeing to them. In consideration of the risk of injury, the participant acknowledges and understands that participation in the picnic event carries inherent risks, and they voluntarily assume all risks. Grounding Picnics and its owner, cannot be held accountable or liable for any and all injuries or accidents that take place during picnic events. By booking with Grounding Picnics, you are agreeing to take full responsibility for personal injury to you and all participants while releasing Grounding Picnics and its owner from any injury, loss, demands, damage, or expenses, that may occur at or during your event. You are aware and voluntarily participating in any activities including, but not limited to, traveling to and from the event at your own risk.

 

You agree to indemnify and protect Grounding Picnics against all claims, suits, and actions of any kind for liability, damages, and compensation that may arise at any event from you or any invitees during the use of Grounding Picnics property, inventory, or consumption of food or drink. This indemnification shall extend to any claims or actions brought by the participants, invitees, guests, or legal representatives. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure to that their invitees and guests are aware and agree to the terms of this indemnification clause. This indemnification shall survive the termination or completion of the picnic event.

How does it work?

Go to our booking tab and choose a picnic package that best suits you and your guests, don’t forget to check out our shoutout page for recommendations on food.

Schedule your date and time, and accept our terms and agreement waiver, then submit your booking form.

We will send a confirmation email once your picnic is scheduled.

 

 

How do I choose a location?

You will choose a location during the booking process. There are a few options for you to choose from when the time comes. You can either choose to have your picnic set up at your residence (backyard), or choose from the carefully selected locations founded by Grounding Picnics.

 

 

How does payment work?

Once you have selected your picnic through the booking tab, you will continue through the booking process which will lead to the payment page. Payments are accepted through the Zelle app. Picnics are paid in full at the time of booking.

 

 

Can I bring food and drinks?

You are more than welcome to bring your food and nonalcoholic beverages to your picnic. Every picnic will be provided with ice water. If you are looking to add charcuterie, or any other food to your picnic please scroll through our shoutout page where we recommend locally-owned small businesses that specialize in delicious treats and customizable snacks.

 

 

Do you offer alcoholic beverages?

Grounding Picnics does not offer alcoholic beverages during your picnic. If you choose to bring your alcoholic beverages, Grounding Picnics is not liable for any guest’s actions under the influence. Please refer to all local, state, and federal regulations of the state of Nebraska and be familiar with rules and regulations while in public.

 

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to the time it takes to create each picnic, we do not offer cancellations; however, you are more than welcome to reschedule.
